Mary Alyce Grimm, 80, of Meyersdale, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on May 10, 2017. Born December 21, 1936 in Irwin, the daughter of Charles E. and Primilla (Bell) Hughes. Preceded in death by her parents; husband of 48 years, George Grimm Sr; son: George “Buddy” Grimm; and infant son: Charles “Chuckie” Grimm.

Survived by her daughters: Michie Merryman and husband Russ, Somerset; Sheri Sterne and husband Randy, Cumberland, MD; Alyce Edwards and husband Jim, Greensburg; Beth Bertuzzi and husband Mike, and Cay Helinski and husband Ray, and daughter-in-law: Gayle Grimm Kirchner, all of Meyersdale; grandchildren: Mitchell Merryman, Kevin Sterne and wife Kasey, Timothy Sterne, Laura, Sarah, and Maria Edwards, Seth Grimm, Eden and Erin Bertuzzi, and Ben and Jack Helinski; great grandson: Tyler Sterne. Also survived by special neighbor and friend, Zane Billy.

A 1954 graduate of Norwin High School and the former owner of The White House Restaurant, Meyersdale, for 30 years. She was a member of SS. Philip and James Catholic Church, Meyersdale. She also enjoyed her time with the Card Club and her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 15 at Price Funeral Service, Meyersdale. Funeral Mass will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 16 at SS. Philip and James Catholic Church, Meyersdale, with Father Alan Thomas, celebrant. Committal SS. Philip and James Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given in her name to the Meyersdale Public Library, PO Box 98, Meyersdale, PA 15552.
