Ashley L. Price

Ashley L. Price

Supervisor, Funeral Director, Owner

Ashley L. Price is a 2006 graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, and has been a licensed funeral director since 2007.

She joined Price Funeral Home in 2011, and in December 2014, she purchased William Rowe Price Funeral Home Inc., and is now the owner of Price Funeral Service, Inc.

 Her family, husband David Tracey, and daughter AJ, reside in Meyersdale.

She currently serves as the secretary for the Somerset County Funeral Directors Association; is a member of:  PFDA (Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association); NFDA (National Funeral Directors Association); MAMA (Meyersdale Area Merchants Association); OES #548, Meyersdale; BPOE #1951, Meyersdale; and the Conemaugh Medical Centers Board of Trustees. 

She enjoys traveling (especially to Sandbridge, Virginia and Florida), watching the Pittsburgh Pirates and baseball, and spending time with her family and friends. 

Ashley continues to serve the Meyersdale community and continues the caring tradition started by the Price family in 1914.

Bill Price

Former Owner

William Rowe Price II joined his father in the business in 1973. 

Bill graduated from Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in 1972, and he worked with his father until 1988, when his father passed away. He owned the funeral business until December of 2014 when he sold it to Ashley. 

He officially retired as a funeral director in 2018 and has been enjoying his retirement with his wife Marilyn and dog, Charlie. Congratulations!

Brad was called into funeral service even before graduating high school, by working at a local funeral home washing cars in the evenings. Upon graduating from Bedford High School in 2003, he enrolled at Allegany College of Maryland and began studies primarily in Business Management. Brad then attended the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science where he later graduated with an Associates Degree in Mortuary Science. Brad first obtained his license in the state of Maryland in 2009 and later got licensed in the state of Pennsylvania in 2011. He worked for 14 years at the Scarpelli Funeral Home P.A. in Cumberland, Md. Brad is a member of the National Funeral Directors Association, the Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association, the Lavale Lions Club, where he served as Past President, and a member of the Allegany Mountain Beekeepers Association where he is currently president. He is an avid beekeeper and also teaches Introduction to beekeeping classes. Brad also enjoys fishing, target shooting, and hand-loading. He lives with his wife Rebekah and his two daughters Katie and Jamie Jo.

Steve resides in Meyersdale and is a member of SS. Philip & James Catholic Church, Meyersdale BPOE 1951, and also a member of the Meyersdale Fire Department for many years.

He retired from Meyersdale Area Schools and is a familiar face to many when you walk in. Even though he is retired, he still continues to help out when he can.

In 2020, we welcomed Bob Krogel to our staff as a funeral assistant and part time maintenance worker. 

A current resident of Meyersdale, and formerly of Cumberland, Md.


Ronnie Boyce

In 2020, we also welcomed Ronnie Boyce to our staff as a funeral assistant.

Ronnie and his wife Tina reside in Meyersdale and his hobbies include playing the bass guitar in the band 3rd Ave. and spending time with his family.


David Price

Funeral Assistant

David Price, Ashley's father, has been with the funeral home as a funeral assistant and  maintenance man since 2019. 

In his spare time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, listening to oldies music, and spending time with his family.
