Austin

Marguerite P. Austin, 93, of Meyersdale died April 23, 2016 at Golden Living Center in Meyersdale. Born July 29, 1922, in Meyersdale, she was a daughter of the late David and Sadie (Swearman) Spence.  Her husband, Edward (“E.M.”), preceded her in death, as did her brother and two sisters.  She was the last surviving member of her family.

Surviving are her two sons, Edward M. Austin II, of Morgantown, WV, and Robert S. Austin and wife Lynn from Bricktown, N.J. Three grandchildren, Jaclyn and husband Christopher, Wall, N.J. William and wife Kate, Woodlands, TX., and Patricia and husband Paul. Freehold, N.J. She has 7 great grandchildren, Connor, Evan, Carson, Max, Clancy, Isabella, Paul John (PJ), and very special nieces and nephews.

She was a retired bank teller and a faithful member of the Zion Luthern Church. She loved flowers, her country, and her church.  Her favorite saying was “Do your Best and God will do the rest.”

Friends will be received from 9 to 11 am, Monday April 25, 2016 at Price Funeral Service, Meyersdale, where services will be conducted in the funeral home at 11 a.m. with Rev. Glenn P. Foster officiating. Interment to follow at Meyersdale Area Union Cemetery.  The family wishes to send a special thank you to Golden Living Center for the care and love given to Marguerite.
