William C. Hoover, 88, of Garrett, died May 9, 2018 at Meyersdale Healthcare and Rehab. Born October 19, 1929, in Garrett, the son of Earl and Eva (Kimmel) Hoover. Preceded in death by his parents; wife, the former Anna Arnold; sister: Ruth Klink; and brother: Robert Hoover.
Survived by his children: Donald Hoover, Deborah St. Clair, and Gregory Hoover; grandchildren: Tim, Amanda, Sandi, Chelsea, Ryan, and Nick; and 8 great grandchildren. Also survived by his brother: Chester Hoover.
William was a Korean War Army veteran, and retired foreman for PennDOT. He was a member of Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church, Garrett.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday (today) at Price Funeral Service, Meyersdale, where service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, with Rev. Glenn P. Foster officiating. Interment Highland Cemetery, Garrett. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society, Blair Unit, 1004 N. Juniata St., Hollidaysburg, PA 16648.
