Shirley I. Schrock, 83, of Garrett, died February 15, 2020 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born February 21, 1936 in Brothersvalley Twp., the daughter of William “Bill” and Mary (Housel) Ohler.
Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Glenn E. Schrock; 3 brothers: Simon, William, and Oscar Ohler Sr.; and sister: Effie Martz.
Survived by her children: Darlene Marteney and husband Ron, Garrett; and Craig Schrock, Garrett; grandchildren: Andrew Marteney and special friend Lynae Llewelyn and Brandon Schrock and wife Sarah; great grandchildren: Dana Llewelyn and Kassy Penrose; close friends whom she treated as her family: Michelle, Fred, and Larissa Johnson, and Yvonne Hay; Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews; brother: Robert Ohler and wife Shirley; and sister: Viola Kimble (late husband George).
Member of Zion Lutheran Church, Meyersdale, where she taught Sunday School. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and her two cats, Maggie and Teeter.
A memorial service will be conducted on Wednesday, February 19 at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Meyersdale, Rev. Glenn P. Foster officiating. Inurnment Meyersdale Area Union Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Somerset In Touch Hospice, PO Box 1173, Somerset, PA 15501 or Zion Lutheran Church, 355 Center St., Meyersdale, PA 15552.
