Marion DiPasquale Shuttle, 72, of Meyersdale, passed away September 18, 2021. Born December 14, 1948, in Meyersdale, the daughter of Alfred and Roseline (Latlip) DiPasquale.
Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Anthony Shuttle; and nephew: Stephen DiPasquale.
Survived by her siblings: L. Fred DiPasquale and wife Judy; Diane DiPasquale; Mary DiPasquale Snyder Miller and husband Smith Miller; nephews: Fred J. DiPasquale, Nicholas DiPasquale, Anthony DiPasquale, Michael DiPasquale, Brian DiPasquale; nieces: Angela Snyder and Kristen Snyder; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
A 1966 graduate of Meyersdale High School, and attended the Pittsburgh Playhouse. Throughout her life, Marion lived in several cities, including, Pittsburgh and Philadelphia, PA; Carmel, CA; Boston, MA; New York City, NY and also a year in Florence, Italy, where she studied the Italian language and worked in a jewelry store on the Ponte Vecchio Bridge. Marion and her husband lived in Lexington, KY where she performed several productions of the Lexington Playhouse. She eventually returned to Somerset, and managed the Jones New York store at the Georgian Place Mall. Her creative flair was reflected in her home, clothes, lifestyle, and the book of poems she published titled, "Bradford Woods".
"A Poem to Trees" -'God kissed the Earth and gave it grace; when he leant trees to the human race; majestic bears of strength and time; if earth is the poem, trees are the rhyme.'
Marion loved her furry companions and it was shown with her support of the ASPCA and humane societies.
She was Miss PA Heart Fund of 1972.
A member of SS. Philip & James Catholic Church, Meyersdale.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Price Funeral Service, Meyersdale. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at SS Philip and James Catholic Church, Meyersdale, with Father Stephen Shin OFM Cap. Committal SS. Philip and James Catholic Cemetery.
