Joan Sembower Obituary
Joan Marie Sembower, 78, of Meyersdale, died December 26, 2020 at Rest Assured Assisted Living. Born February 12, 1942 in Garrett, the daughter of John W. and Irene E. (Sheeler) Gerhart.
Preceded in death by her parents; and husband, William F. “Bill” Sembower III.
Survived by her daughters: Amy J. Hostetler, Meyersdale; and Jenifer Sembower, Ohio; 3 grandchildren: Jennifer Ickes, Ashley Hostetler and Charles William Hoffman; great grandchildren: Kaden Kelly, Brody Kelly, Brock Kelly, Karsyn Ickes, Easton Ickes, and Reese Ickes; sister: Maxine Montgomery and husband John; and brother: John Gerhart and wife Connie.
She was a member of Friedens Lutheran Church. Joan was an outside activity director for Whispering Pines, and she loved going on trips.
A private funeral service will be held for the family, with Rev. John Barichivich officiating. Interment Highland Cemetery, Garrett.
