James W. Burkholder

James William Burkholder, 81, of Meyersdale, went to be with the Lord on January 9, 2022 surrounded by his loving family at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown.

Born March 12, 1940, he was the son of the late Eugene and Miriam (Klink) Burkholder. Also preceded in death by one brother: Thomas Burkholder; son-in-law: Michael Blake and great granddaughter: Mikaylynn Lace Parrish.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Patricia Jane (Hoyman) Burkholder; 3 children: loving daughter: Cindy Blake (Craig); sons: David Burkholder; and James Burkholder (Ashley); grandchildren: Rebecca, Mistie, Ryan, Alex, Sadie, Owen, Sara and Oliver; great grandchildren: Ashton and Michael; and brother: Donald Burkholder.

Jim is a U.S. Army veteran and was a cement mason and carpenter. He was a member of New Hope Church, Meyersdale.

Jim loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be sadly missed by his family, friends and all who knew and loved him. He loved to hunt and fish.

Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, at Price Funeral Service, Meyersdale, where funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, with Rev. Tim Shivler officiating. Interment Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Fairhope.
