Imogene Johnston Obituary

Imogene Mae (Miller) Johnston was met by her parents Earl P. and Ethel M. (Platt) Miller; brother: David and sister-in-law: Debbie. Jeannie walked into her Father's arms in heaven and found peace.

After graduating from Meyersdale High School, Jeannie left to work in Washington D.C. from there she lived the majority of her life in Virginia Beach until she came back home to help care for her parents. Jeannie retired from the Meyersdale Area Schools as a cafeteria worker.

Jeannie is survived by her three children: Patricia (John) Boyle, New Jersey; Leonard (Tina) Johnston, Meyersdale and Kevin (Rose) Johnston, Virginia Beach.

Jeannie was very much loved by her grandchildren: Shawn (Meryem), Paula (David), JoLynn (Robert), Leonard II (Paula), Amber, Angelica (fiancé Jacob) and Makayla. She has 9 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her beloved twin brother, Eugene Miller; sister: Donna Wells and many nieces and nephews.

Jeannie was a caring mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She had a kind smile and a boisterous laugh. You could always find Jeannie faithfully reading her Bible. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, going out to eat, shopping and watching tv.

The family would like to thank the staff at Meyersdale Healthcare and Rehabilitation and Asera Care Hospice for all the loving care they provided for Jeannie. Your care and dedication is very much appreciated.

No funeral services will be held. A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
