Frances E. Ravenscroft, 87, of Meyersdale, died August 17, 2019 at her home. She was born December 23, 1931 in Sandpatch, the daughter of John and Myrtle (Pugh) Habel. Preceded in death by her parents; husband: Alvy O. Ravenscroft; son-in-law: John Simon; brother: Clyde Habel.

Survived by her daughters: Carolyn Simon, Gibsonia; Janet Augustine husband Bill, Meyersdale; and Lauren Hemming husband Chester, Meyersdale; grandchildren: John Simon Jr. and wife Lindsay and Paul Simon and wife Angela Nicole; great grandchildren: Kylie, Aylea, Jacob, Mara, Sophia, and Liliana; siblings: Mary Bergman, Margaret Smith, Fred Habel and wife Karen, and Joyce Gordon and husband Thomas. Also survived by sister-in-law: Wilma Habel and numerous nieces and nephews.

Frances retired from GC Murphy's as a sales clerk. She was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Meyersdale, where she taught Sunday School and served on the Altar Guild. 

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Price Funeral Service, Meyersdale, where funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, with Rev. Glenn P. Foster officiating. Interment Meyersdale Area Union Cemetery.
