David Joel Woy

David Joel Woy, 72, of Meyersdale, died October 27, 2020 at home. Born March 11, 1948, in Somerset, the son of the late Arthur and Evelyn (Bauman) Woy.

He is survived by his children: Patrick Woy, Pensacola, FL; Missy Platt and husband Justin, Garrett; granddaughter: Kenleigh; brother: Alan Woy and significant other Donna Airesman, FL; special friends; Blaine and Leslie Mayhugh, Kelsey Mayhugh, and Tristina Ohler.

He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, who deeply loved his dogs and had a passion for sports.

Friends will be received from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday at Price Funeral Service, Meyersdale. A private funeral service will be held, with Pastor Eric Shaulis officiating. The Somerset County Honor Guard will provide military rites.

Masks and social distancing should be followed.
