Judith Aker Obituary

Judith Y. Aker, 73, of Harrisburg, a beloved mother and grandmother, died October 13, 2018 at UPMC Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born August 13, 1945, in Meyersdale, the daughter of James and Alma (Barmoy) Lint.

Preceded in death by her parents; and sister: Barbara Walukas.

Survived by her loving sons: James Aker and wife Debra, Venetia; and Steve and wife Carey, Lamont; grandchildren who were her pride and joy: James, John, Joseph, Alyssa, Brandi, Danielle, and Emma; niece: Beth (Ray) Louis; nephews: Joel Walukas, and Matt (Kristin) Walukas; and many cousins.

She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, Harrisburg. She enjoyed watching her grandsons play sports, talking to her grandchildren on the phone, knitting, hiking, being outdoors, archeology, and visiting the library.

Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Price Funeral Service, Meyersdale. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Zion Lutheran Church, with Pastor Susan Winger officiating. Interment Meyersdale Area Union Cemetery.
