Joyce E. Romesburg, 79, of Garrett, went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 12, 2019 at her home after a 20 year battle of Parkinson Disease, surrounded by her beloved family. She was born June 27, 1939 in Summit Twp., the daughter of Truman and Sara (Pyle) Sanner Sr. Preceded in death by her parents; and 2 brothers, Dennis and Truman Sanner Jr.

Survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Franklin Romesburg; children: Bob Sanner (Kim), Boswell; Dot Garrety (Dave), Garrett; Jim Sanner (Deb), Meyersdale; Don Sanner (Clara), Meyersdale; Terri Faidley (Mike), Pine Grove; Shawn Romesburg (Holly), Hyndman. Forever loved and remembered by her 13 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.

Also survived by her brother and sisters: Bennett Hoover (Cloyd); Paul Sanner (Frances); Rose Marker (Lawrence); Carol Lepley (Eugene Sr.); and Mary Sanner;  and sister-in-law: Esther Sanner.

Joyce retired from Meyersdale Manufacturing Company after 34 years of service, where she was President of the union at the shirt factory. She was a life-long member of Center Church, Garrett, where she was a Sunday School teacher, sang in the choir, Ladies Aide, and headed up Bible School at the church. She was a volunteer at Meyersdale Medical Center, the Children’s Aide Society, Child Evangelism Fellowship. A member of the Garrett Ladies Auxiliary. Co-founder of Kids In Need in Somerset County. She was a great listener, loved helping people in need, and attending church.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Price Funeral Service, Meyersdale, where funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, with Rev. Tim Shivler officiating. Interment Center Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to In Touch Hospice, 1474 N. Center Ave., P.O. Box 1173, Somerset, PA 15501.
