Ronald James Noble, 75, of Meyersdale, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Monday, January 23, 2017 at Select Specialty Hospital, Johnstown.

Born January 20, 1942 in Meyersdale, the son of the late Silvio J. and Alice J. (Secrest) Noble.

Survived by his wife of 56 years, Patricia A. (Pritts) Noble; children: Ronda (Noble) Lee, Meyersdale; David and Michelle (Asbury) Noble, DeBary, FL; Douglas Noble and William Schenck, Butler; grandchildren: Ryan Houston, Meyersdale; Ross and Marie (Becker) Noble, Hidden Valley; Reed Houston and fiancée Jessica Potts, McKees Rocks; Michael and Philip Schenck, Butler; Nicole Noble, DeBary, FL; great grandchildren: Zane Noble and Aiden Houston. He is also survived by brother: Gary L. Noble, Johnstown; uncle: Robert F. Secrest, Meyersdale; sister-in-law: Sharon (Pritts) Hillman and husband Gregg, Arcadia, CA; special niece: Margie (Haer) Rock and husband Greg, Garrett; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was a retired cement mason.

Ronald was a member of Amity United Church of Christ, Meyersdale; Maple Leaf Rod & Gun Club; Maple City Rodders, where he served as secretary; Moose Lodge #76, where he was a former governor; and a lifetime member of the Garrett Sportsman Club.

He was a former Scout Master for Troop #142; a coach of the former Noble’s Slow Pitch Softball Team; and a former member of the Moose and Fran’s Bar Pool Leagues.

Ronald enjoyed spending time with his beloved springers: Snoopy and Maggie; spending time with his family and friends; hunting, fishing, boating and sports, and he was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan. He especially enjoyed the annual family vacation at Deep Creek Lake. He will be remembered for helping others and having a very giving heart.

Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Price Funeral Service, Meyersdale, where service will be conducted at noon Friday, with Rev. Connie Garlick officiating. Interment Meyersdale Area Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given in his name to Amity United Church of Christ or the Somerset County Humane Society.
