Mary Jane (Harding) Hershberger

Hershberger

            Mary Jane (Harding) Hershberger, 89, of Meyersdale, went to be with the Lord on February 26, 2015 at the Goodwill Mennonite Community, Grantsville, Maryland. Born March 23, 1925 in Salisbury, the daughter of Frank and Sarah (Jones) Harding.

Preceded in death by her parents; her aunt, Annie Christine (Bowers, Harding) Baker, who raised her; husband: Milton Hershberger; infant daughter; brother: Theodore Harding; sister: Violet Hay.

Survived by her children: Philip (Carol) Hershberger, Meyersdale; Kathryn (James) Boden, Meyersdale; Robert (Rhonda) Hershberger, Grantsville, Md; and Ada Chrstine (Jeff) Hollinger, Summerville, S.C. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 10 1/3 great great grandchildren, plus many nieces and nephews.

Mary Jane was a retired Meyersdale School District cafeteria worker and a faithful member of the Meyersdale Grace Brethren Church. She was a cancer survivor.

Mary Jane was a caring and loving Mom, Gram, and Grammy Jane, who was sincerely devoted to her family and she was always available when help was needed. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. 

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Meyersdale Grace Brethren Church where service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday (at the church), with Pastor Randy Haulk officiating. Interment Mt. Carmel Lutheran Cemetery at White Oak.
