William P. Murray Sr., 72 of Meyersdale, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born June 7, 1943 in Meyersdale. Son of the late Gerald and Grace (Brant) Murray, and his stepmother Ethel Murray. Paul and Mary Mishler also helped to raise William. Survived by this wife of 42 years,Sandy Murray. Also survived by two children: William and his wife Megan, Meyersdale; and Kelly, wife of Kenny Welsh, Wellersburg. Three grandchildren: Abigail Hare, Meyersdale; Andrew Gray and Casey Gray, both of Wellersburg. He attended Rockwood Area Schools. A unique soul, William was an avid hunter, and he enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed. A private funeral service will be conductedat the convenience of the family. Interment will be at the Meyersdale Area Union Cemetery.
