Ronald Todd Weaver

Ronald “Todd” Weaver, age 53, passed away on May 6th at his home after a lingering illness.

The son of the late Ronald Eugene Weaver and Donna (Firl) Weaver, Meyersdale, he attended Sam Houston High School in Arlington, TX. Todd is survived by his girlfriend of 24 years, Veronica Smeak, his mother and seven loving cats.

He is preceded in death by his father, Ron; his brother, Troy Bryan; maternal grandparents, Elwood and Kathryn (Brenneman) Firl; paternal grandparents, William and Sara (Keefer) Weaver; his step grandmother, Mary (Decker) Weaver; as well as his aunts, Julie Hornig, Bonnie (Johnny) Moe, and Nancy (Compton) Brenneman; and his uncle Robert “Bob” Weaver.

Todd was a warm and caring man who enjoyed traveling. He had lucrative jobs throughout his younger years, including a heavy equipment operator in Arizona, working for a private detective in Florida, working with his father’s company in Denver, CO as a bakery equipment installer and he enjoyed more than a dozen years at the local Seven Springs Mountain Resort where he worked on the Go Team. He was employed at the time of his death by Darling Ingredients, Somerset as a truck driver. He also belonged to the Teamsters’ Union Local 110.

Family and friends are invited to attend a gathering from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 12th at Price Funeral Service, Meyersdale to celebrate his life.
