Robert Secrest

Robert Secrest, 92, of Meyersdale, passed away comfortably at home on June 14, 2023 surrounded by his family.   

Born December 14, 1930 in Meyersdale, the son of William and Myrtle (Ravenscroft) Secrest.  He was also preceded in death by his parents; wife, the former Connie Phalin; son; Terry W. Secrest; grandchild Tyra Taylor; his siblings Alice Noble, Karl Secrest, Hilda Streng, and Betty Thompson.

Mr. Secrest was a United States Air Force Veteran and served from 1948 to 1952.  He was a member of the Cement Masons Local 526 and the Operative Cement Masons Local 109.  He was an avid gardener and also enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He especially loved spending time with his companion dogs Hoss and Buddy

Survived by his children: Robert Secrest Jr., Debra Taylor, Patricia Woullard and husband Douglas, Barbara Pritts and husband Randall, and his longtime caretaker and son Jerry Secrest; grandchildren Lisa Fox, Theresa Brahler, Matthew Secrest, Justin Taylor, Ryan Whitacre, and Alyson Sipple

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., Saturday, June 17, at Price Funeral Service, Inc., Meyersdale. A graveside service will follow the visitation at Meyersdale Area Union Cemetery.
