Robert Maust Obituary

Robert W. "Robbie" Maust, 59, of Meyersdale, died February 28, 2021 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown.

Born March 4, 1961, in Meyersdale, the son of the late Harry G. Maust and Helena "Sue" (Swauger) Maust, of Meyersdale.

In addition to his mother, he is also survived by his brother: Harry (Celeste) Maust; nephew: Matthew; nieces: Savannah, Nicole, and Alexandria "Ali"; special friends: Sandy Wahl and Gunner Bodes; and numerous cousins and close friends.

He worked at Davis Construction and Atlantic Door Co. of Washington D.C. and most recently was the lead mechanic of plant operations at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital, Rockville, Maryland. Rob was a member of the Home Aid Association, Earl H. Opel Post 459 Salisbury, and Sons of the American Legion. He enjoyed antique class and street Rod car shows and auto swap meets, attending Ford week in Carlisle, PA and riding his Harley. Rob cared deeply about his family and friends and will be missed by those who knew him.

A memorial graveside service will be held May 22, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Lichty Cemetery, Summit Mills. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions may be given to the Lichty Cemetery, c/o, Summit Mills Grace Brethren Church Cemetery, 120 High St., Meyersdale, PA 15552.
