It is with extreme sadness we announce the passing of PeggyAnn Marker, 75, Garrett, on Monday, December 27, 2021 in her home. Peggy was born September 9, 1946 to Elwood and Ella Jean (Burkholder) Walters in Garrett. She attended school in Garrett and attended high school in Meyersdale.
On December 22, 1962, Peggy married her late husband Oscar and they went on to have their son, Larry. Peggy loved to spend her time on the farm caring for her many animals, especially her dog Katie. She also enjoyed reading, embroidering, biking, and traveling with her sisters, Roberta and Tina.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents: Elwood and Ella Jean; and her husband: Oscar.
She is survived by her son: Larry and daughter-in-law Sherri (Sechler) Marker; her granddaughters: Renee (Antwain) Baxter, Kimberly (Jared) Goforth, and Kelsie Marker; her great granddaughters: Ella Goforth and Arabella Baxter. Her loss will also be deeply felt by her sisters: Roberta (Duane) Lindeman, and Tina (Ronald) Boyce, and numerous nieces, nephews and their children. Peggy was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at Price Funeral Service, Meyersdale, where funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, with Pastor Paul Kirschbaum officiating. Interment Center Church Cemetery, Garrett.
