Michael Reich Obituary

Michael J. Reich, 63, Somerset formerly of Meyersdale, passed away September 5, 2022 at his residence.

Born April 6, 1959 in Johnstown, the son of Philip Beachy and Thelma May (Getty) Reich.

Preceded in death by his parents; sister: Christine A. Reich; and nephew: Tyler P. Reich.

Survived by his brother: Philip G. Reich; niece: Crystal (Bill) Haer; great niece and nephew: Kylee and Logan Haer, all of Meyersdale. He is also survived by numerous cousins and friends.

Mike was a 1977 graduate of Meyersdale Area High School. He was a talented singer/songwriter, winning various awards for music that he recorded and published. He enjoyed performing at numerous venues and social events. Mike also enjoyed wildlife, nature, and pets.

He was a member of the Meyersdale Elks Lodge BPOE#1951 for 36 years, and past Exalted Ruler for one term. He was also a member of numerous musician organizations. Mike's humorous personality will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
