Margaret Lucille Smith, 84, of Monroeville, died peacefully surrounded by her family on October 25, 2022 at Forbes Hospital, Monroeville.
Born January 14, 1938, in Sandpatch, the daughter of John H. and Myrtle G. (Pugh) Habel. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Burdette W. Smith; daughters: Susan Renee Smith and Roxanne Michelle Smith; brother: Clyde Habel and sister: Frances Ravenscroft.
Survived by her children: Barbara (CJ) Kuehn; and Steven (Bernadette) Smith; grandchildren: Nicole (Dan), Matthew (Justina), Steven Jr. (Katie), Jason, Sarah (Christopher), Christopher, and Joanna (David); great granddaughter: Madeline.
Also survived by her siblings: Mary Bergman, Frederick (Karen) Habel, and Joyce (Tim) Gordon; brother-in-law: Keith Winters; sister-in-law: Wilma Habel and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was a manager at a bakery and sold cosmetics for many years. She also was a Girl Scout Leader. She enjoyed watching sports, especially, the Pittsburgh Pirates and Penguins.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 29, at 11 a.m. at Price Funeral Service, Inc., Meyersdale, with Rev. Tyler Graham officiating. Inurnment Meyersdale Area Union Cemetery.
