Louise Bowser Obituary

Louise J. Bowser, 88, of Berlin formerly of Chambersburg, died December 31, 2020 at UPMC Somerset.
Born September 14, 1932 in Meyersdale, the daughter of William C. and Julia M. (Hutzell) Glessner.

Preceded in death by her parents; husband of 65 years, William E. Bowser II; son: William E. Bowser III; son-in-law: Gary L. Watson; brother: Clyde E. Glessner; sister-in-law: Mary Bertha Sass; and close cousin: Matilda Hutzell Walker.

Survived by her daughters: Gloria Snyder and husband Glenn, Northumberland; Patricia Bowser and Tomalee Watson, both of Meyersdale; grandchildren: Christal Artice of Meyersdale, Gale Purbaugh of Rockwood, Todd Snyder of Northumberland, Adam Snyder of Fairfield, CT., and Audrianna Lawyer of Mercersburg; step-granddaughters: Laken Strock and Crystal Cosey; great grandchildren: Renee Hollada, Danny Artice, Brittany Hollada, Faith and Jadyn Purbaugh, Kaila, Marissa, and Janelle Snyder, Evan, Grant, and Logan Snyder, Amara and Trevor Lawyer Jr.; great great grandchildren: Hallie Watson, Emmorie Hollada, and Noah Watson. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, and her faithful dog, Pooch.

Lifetime member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Chambersburg and a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Meyersdale. Former employee of Horchner’s Dairy Bar and Wogan’s Uniform Shop.

She loved to crochet, do crossword puzzles, attend yard sales and she deeply loved all of her grandchildren.

A private service will be held for the family at a later date.
