Karen Rebecca "Becky" Kirchner, 78, of Meyersdale, died June 5, 2025 at her residence.
Born January 9, 1947 in Meyersdale, the daughter of David Earl and Ethel (Ross) Kimble.
Preceded in death by her parents; son, Bryan E. "Beanie" Kirchner; former husband, Larry Kirchner.
Becky is survived by her loving family; sons, David R. Kirchner, Baltimore, Md. and Mark R. Kirchner and wife Gayle, Meyersdale; grandson, Seth Grimm and wife Ashley, Morgantown, W.Va. She was anxiously awaiting the arrival of their daughter in October to become a great grandmother. She was a proud Meyersdale resident and a graduate of the Meyersdale class of 1964. Becky worked at various local hospitals and retired from SCI-Somerset as a registered nurse. She was a member of the Amity United Church of Christ, Meyersdale. Becky dedicated her time and efforts to local groups in Meyersdale, including Caring Hands for Cancer and she was one of the founding members of the Vietnam Korean War Memorial Committee. Becky was a devoted mother to her boys, her family, and a second mom to their friends and she was always willing to help anyone in a time need, she was a friend to all. She will be missed by many. Becky also loved flowers and decorating.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Price Funeral Service, Meyersdale. Funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Amity UCC, Meyersdale. Pastor Eric Shaulis officiating. Interment Meyersdale Area Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Caring Hands for Cancer, c/o Jeri Schafer or the Humane Society of Somerset County.
