Josephine M. (Finocchio) DiFebo

Josephine M. DiFebo, 99, of Meyersdale, passed away at her home on January 20, 2023. Born June 18, 1923 in Rockwood, the daughter of Vincenzo "Jim" and Santa (Vellone) Finocchio, who were both born in Italy.

Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Victor F. DiFebo; and two brothers: Tony and Guy Finocchio.

Survived by her children: Rosalie L. DiFebo, and James D. DiFebo and wife Judy, all of Meyersdale; grandchildren: Bryan DiFebo and wife Rebecca, Somerset; Janine Sechler and husband Mark, Meyersdale; and Santa Michelle DiFebo, Meyersdale; great grandchildren: Aiden, Owen, Abigail, and Emma DiFebo, and Brycen, Ryan, and Valerie Sechler.

She was a life-long member of SS. Philip and James Catholic Church, Meyersdale. She enjoyed going to church activities, and crocheting doilies and afghans. Her life consisted of knowing, loving, and serving her church and family. Most people will remember her and her husband for operating taverns in Meyersdale and Confluence.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Price Funeral Service, Meyersdale. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at SS. Philip and James Catholic Church, with Rev. Stephen Shin OFM Cap. Committal SS. Philip and James Catholic Cemetery.
