Joan C. (Wright) Christner, 87, Frostburg, Maryland, died July 11, 2020 at Rest Assured Assisted Living. Born September 7, 1932 in Salisbury, the daughter of Samuel and Lucy (Christner) Wright.
Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Orville “Speedy” Christner; and brother: John “Jack” Wright.
Survived by her son: Chet Christner, Henderson, NV; sister: Karaha “Jeanie” Knotts and husband Dick; brothers: Gary Wright and wife Ginny, David Wright and wife Betty Lou, all of Frostburg, Maryland. Also survived by her sister-in-law: Jean Wright, Swanton, Maryland and numerous nieces and nephews. She worked as a secretary at ABL and was a cashier for Wright’s Auction Service. A lifetime member of Greenville Lutheran Church and she volunteered at Frostburg Village for over 30 years.
A private graveside service will be held at Greenville Union Cemetery, Meyersdale, with Pastor Lee Seese officiating. Memorial contributions may be given to Greenville Lutheran Church.
