Jean Laverne Pyle Obituary

Jean Laverne Pyle, 91, of Meyersdale, died August 3, 2021 at home. Born July 16, 1930 in Meyersdale, the daughter of the late Bryan and Irene Susan (Siegner) Marker. Also preceded in death by her sister: Betty Elaine Marker.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years 2 months and 20 days, George E. Pyle; daughter: Susan Elaine Decker, Meyersdale; grandchildren: Joshua Allen Decker and wife Celeste; and Amanda Lynn Decker and fiancé Lonnie McKenzie; great grandchildren: Waylon and Addilyn Decker, Kaden Brown, and Chase McKenzie; Special friends: Marcy and Terry Baker and Starla Perdew.

She was a member of the Meyersdale Grace Brethren Church, and a longtime volunteer of the Pennsylvania Maple Festival. Jean enjoyed traveling, going out to eat, cooking, and spending time with her family.

Per her wishes, no viewing will be held. A graveside service will be conducted on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the Meyersdale Area Union Cemetery, Rev. Gary Morris. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Asera Care Hospice or the Pennsylvania Maple Festival.
