Jack Richard Fogle, 87, of Garrett, died November 2, 2019 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born July 7, 1932 in Brothersvalley Twp., the son of Charles and Ada (Schrock) Fogle. Preceded in death by his parents; sister: Helen Woullard; and brother: Dale Fogle.
Survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary Jane (Petenbrink) Fogle, who was his best friend for 63 years; his sister: Phyllis Zimmerman; brother-in-law: Cecil Petenbrink Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was a coal miner and self-employed truck driver for Delta, Merrill, Decker, and Penn Pocahontas Coal Companies. After retirement, he worked as a custodian for Citizens National Bank for four years. He attended Zion Lutheran Church, Meyersdale.
Jack greatly enjoyed traveling with “Circle of Friends” on bus trips, his tractors, working on his equipment, mowing the yard, and spending time with his special little angels, Joseph and Grace Sechler, and Natalie Petenbrink.
A special thank you to the farm employees who were like family and always looked out for him, and the staff at Meyersdale Medical Center.
Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Price Funeral Service, Meyersdale, where service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, with Rev. Glenn P. Foster officiating. Interment Meyersdale Area Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given in his name to the Humane Society of Somerset County or the Zion Lutheran Church
