Harold Eugene Saylor

Harold Eugene Saylor, 89, of Meyersdale, passed away November 26, 2019 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born November 16, 1930 in Meyersdale, he is the son of the late Homer Martin and Clara (Hay) Saylor.

Survived by his wife of 69 ½ years, Loretta Jane (Fritz) Saylor; sons: Dr. Randall and wife Paula, Gibsonia and Kent and wife Carol, Meyersdale; six grandchildren: Lindsay married to Christopher Ryan, Fairfield, CT; Erica, NYC; Aaron, Gibsonia; Gina married to Ian Thokar, Fairmont, WV; Andrew married to Ashley Versailles, KY; and Zachary, Meyersdale. Also survived by a great granddaughter, Lilly Renee Dunmeyer; and two great grandsons: Liam Christopher Ryan and Evan Paul Thokar; and sister: Mary Jane Campbell, Florida.

Harold was a 1948 graduate of Meyersdale High School, former Director of Riverview National Bank, Somerset County Fair Association and several farm organizations. He was a lifetime member of the Meyersdale Church of the Brethren, where he served as an usher, several Church Commissions and Care-Givers. He was a retired Dairy Farmer. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and attending their many musical and sporting events, especially soccer.

There will be no viewing. The funeral service will be private as requested by the family, with Pastor Dottie Grew officiating. Interment will be in the Meyersdale Area Union Cemetery.
