Ethel M. “Ding” “Effie” “Mammy” Donges, 87, Meyersdale, passed away April 10, 2020 at Meyersdale Healthcare and Rehabilitation. Born June 22, 1932, in Glencoe, the daughter of Harry and Mabel (Dively) Smith.
Preceded in death by her parents; husband: George P. “Shorty” Donges; brothers: Harry, James, Robert, Carl, John, and infant brother William.
Survived by her children: Cynthia Donges and spouse Karen; Roxanne Donges; Molly Smith and husband Tom; Kriss Donges fiancé Richard; George Donges Jr.; grandchildren: Melissa Blocher, Ginger Blocher, Tom Smith Jr., Tessa Smith, Philip Burt, Daniel Burt, Nicholas Smith, Jason Donges-Williams; great grandchildren: Georgia and Emmalyn Blocher;
Siblings: Herbert, Ruth, Kate, Arlene, Dot, Nancy, Kenneth, and Thomas.
Member of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church, where she participated in ladies aide, choir, Sunday school teacher, youth leader and enjoyed turkey dinner picnics. She loved the Lord, her family, her little church, and her Donges Drive In family. She will be missed by many but the love she shared will continue. Friends and family may view the funeral service on Monday at 2 p.m. by logging on to Price Funeral Home’s Facebook page. Pastor Mardi Vincent officiating. Interment Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Glencoe.
