Emerson David Dunmeyer

Emerson David Dunmeyer Jr.,81, of Meyersdale, went to be with the Lord on November 1, 2020. Born June 16, 1939 in Rockwood, the son of Emerson D. and Edna Marie (Colgrove) Dunmeyer.

Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Judy Kay (Mankamyer) Dunmeyer; sister: Vivian and infant sister Martha.

Survived by his children: Bonnie Knieriem and husband David, Susan Schardt and husband Richard, and Gregory “Butch” Dunmeyer and wife Deb, all of Meyersdale; grandchildren: Ginger Ackerman, Brandy Paulman and husband Michael, Jeremy Knieriem and wife Heather, Joshua Knieriem, Hollie Snyder and husband Adam, Derek Schardt, Ryan Dunmeyer, and Megan Ervin and husband Darian; great grandchildren: Katrina, Gracie, Gavin, Aiden, Harper, Trenton, Haylie, Anakin, Lilly, Addisyn; and brother: George. A graduate of Berlin School. He worked road construction and retired from Snyder’s of Berlin.

Member of Beachdale Church of the Brethren. He liked to hunt and fish. He loved his coffee and white powdered donuts in the morning.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
