Edna Mae Bowman, 90, of Meyersdale passed away peacefully on April 18, 2026 at Meadowview Nursing Home in Berlin, PA. She was born on November 14, 1935 in Meyersdale, PA to the late Elmer and Margaret (Tressler) Bowman. She was also preceded in death by her daughter Tammy Bowman; sisters: Anna Lohr and Nellie Weller; nephew-in-law Rick Showalter; and niece Ruth Walker.
She is survived by the following nieces and nephews: Dennis (Joyce) Baker, Allen "Chip" (Karen) Baker and Robyn Baker Showalter, and their families. She is also survived and cared for by Thomas Walker; Great nieces and nephews: Kristin (Fred) Walters, Joe (Connie) Walker; Great-Great nieces and nephews: Kyle (Megan) Walker, Alana (Lane) Buterbaugh, Gina (Kyle) Pritts, Marisa and Morgan Walters.
She attended Meyersdale Area School District. In her adulthood, she was a cleaner at the White House Restaurant for many years. Additionally, she was a member of Amity United Church of Christ in Meyersdale.
Edna enjoyed making her daily phone calls to various family members to check on them and to see "what's new", savoring a cup of hot tea, admiring the outdoors from the comfort of her front porch, and spending time with her beloved cat, Gray.
A joint visitation for Edna and her sister, Nellie will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at 12:00 P.M. at Price Funeral Home in Meyersdale, PA. Following the visitation, a memorial service will be held at 1:00. Afterwards, a graveside service will be conducted at Highland Cemetery in Garrett, PA, where the sisters will be laid to rest alongside their family.
