Delores Ann “Peg” Hoyman, 81, of Garrett, passed away February 22, 2021 at home. Born August 29, 1939 in Fairhope, PA which is now the Glen Savage Elephant Ranch, the daughter of the late William “Bill” and Blanche (Wright) Day. Also preceded in death by brothers: Bill Day and his wife, Stashia, and Leonard Day.
She is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” Hoyman; children: Wendy Sechler and companion and friend, Dick Donelson; Jacklyn “Jackie” Hoyman; Mark and Lisa Hoyman; and Luke and Renee Hoyman; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and sister-in-law: Rose Mary Day.
She retired after 24 years from the Meyersdale Shirt Factory, where she was a seamstress. Peg enjoyed yard sales, planting flowers, picking berries, visiting people, and spending time with her dog, Cricket. She always loved to buy items for her grand kids and other kids.
Visitation will be held 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, at Price Funeral Service, Meyersdale, where funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, with Rev. Tim Shivler officiating. Interment Highland Cemetery, Garrett. Masks and social distancing is required.
