Clay E. Gnagey, 88, of Meyersdale, died October 22, 2014 at Golden Living Center, Meyersdale. Born January 19, 1926 in Summit Twp., the son of Alvin and Elsie (Lepley) Gnagey. Preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Glenn Gnagey, Bruce Gnagey, Max Gnagey, and Merle Murphy; and sister: Helen Fike.
Survived by his wife, the former Doris Fike;
Brothers: Rev. Ray Gnagey, Meyersdale and Guy Gnagey, Meyersdale.
Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
He retired from Meyersdale Area Schools in 1988. Clay was a member of the Meyersdale Church of the Brethren. He enjoyed flea markets, collecting things and playing musical instruments.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, with Pastor Pete Kaltenbaugh officiating.
