Carl L. Miller, 85, of Meyersdale, died May 31, 2020 at Meyersdale Medical Center. Born January 10, 1935 in Greenville Twp., the son of Carl F. and Leora Grace (Geiger) Miller. Preceded in death by his parents; twin brothers: Ronald and Donald Miller.
Survived by his wife of 48 years, Carol (Schrock) Miller; brother-in-law: Don (Karen) Schrock; nephews and nieces: Christopher (Sharon) Schrock, their children: Chris Jr., Emily and Samantha Schrock; Michael (Elizabeth) Schrock, their sons: Trent and Bradin Schrock; and his two furry friends, Ben and Jerry.
A United States Army veteran, a graduate of California University of Pennsylvania and West Virginia University, where he obtained his Master’s Degree in Education. He was a retired Industrial Arts teacher from Meyersdale School District.
Carl was a member of Amity United Church of Christ, where he was an elder and deacon, a member of the choir, and the cemetery committee. A member of the Rotary Club, where he was a former president and secretary, and he received the Paul Harris Award; and member of Meyersdale Lodge #554. He enjoyed going to car shows with his wife and was proud of his 1929 Model A Ford. A private funeral service will be held for the family, with Rev. Connie Garlick officiating. Interment Mt. Carmel Cemetery at White Oak. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
