Shelly Hanson Obituary

Hanson

Shelly Hanson, mother of Nicholas and Tyler Hanson, wife of Roger Hanson, joined her family in heaven on May 19, 2018. Shelly was born in Johnstown and is survived by her brothers, Kevin Curtis of Mineral Point, Allan Curtis of Johnstown, and Jeffrey Curtis of Johnstown. She grew up in Conemaugh and after graduation moved to Spartanburg, SC, where she met her husband Roger. For the past 22 years, Shelly and her husband Roger lived in Meyersdale, where they owned and operated Meyersdale Chiropractic. Shelly’s greatest accomplishment was her two sons. She devoted her time, energy, love, and passion to her family. Shelly’s warmth, sense of humor, compassion, and endless love was a gift to all of those lucky enough to have known her. Although her loss is immeasurable, our family takes comfort knowing that she has finally been reunited with her parents, Joseph and Irene Curtis, her favorite Aunt Susie Gasior, and her pets, Maggie and Samantha.

A memorial mass will be conducted on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 11 a.m. at SS. Philip & James Catholic Church, with Rev. James M. Dugan.

In lieu of flowers, please donate in her name to any animal charity because she loved them so. Thank you to all that have been so kind and generous to our family, especially, Pat and Casey Grew, Kevin and Sherri Trowbridge, Tom and Darlene Christner, and Carol Lucente.
