James C. Brant, 90, of Garrett, passed away peacefully with his loving wife by his side on  March 27, 2018. Born August 20, 1927 in Garrett, the son of the Walter and Catherine (Christner) Brant. Preceded in death by his parents; and sisters: Mary Louise Arnold and Delores Schrock.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, the former Doris Estnick; sister: Elizabeth Judy and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was a United States Army veteran and a retired United Mine Worker. Jim loved working in the garden and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Friends will be received from 3 until the time of service at 7 p.m. Thursday at Price Funeral Service, Meyersdale, Rev. Jeri Penrod officiating. Interment Highland Cemetery, Garrett.
