Gerald Robert Kennell, a loving husband and father, 80, of Meyersdale, died September 17, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born June 17, 1937 in Hyndman, the son of Hobart and Erma (Lepley) Kennell. Preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Junior, Homer, and Merle; sister: Helen; step-son: Richard Sines; step-daughter-in-law: Darlene Sines; step son-in-law: Barry Imler; and step granddaughter: Cheryl Sines.

He is survived by his wife, Doris (Hardesty) Kennell; brother: Wayne Kennell; stepchildren: Linda Imler, Sharon (Melvin) Deal, Chris (Margie) Sines, Terrie Livengood, Robert (Marsha) Sines, John (Jennifer) Sines, Bonnie (Lee) Miller, Connie (Jim) Anderson; step daughter-in-law: Kathy Sines; 20 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren and one more on the way.

He is a retired farmer and heavy equipment operator and a Korean War Army veteran.

A member of the Grace Reformed Independent Bible Church. He was an avid hunter.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Price Funeral Service, Meyersdale, where service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, with Rev. Tom Horner officiating. Interment Grace Cemetery at White Oak. Military Graveside rites provided by the Somerset County Honor Guard. Memorial contributions may be given to the Caring Hands for Cancer c/o Jeri Schafer.
