Anna Dickey Obituary
Anna M. Dickey, 96, of Meyersdale, passed away on June 8, 2019 at The Patriot. Born August 7, 1922 in Meyersdale, the daughter of Norman A. and Ida (Hoover) Neimiller. She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Charles George “Chippy” Weimer; second husband: Joseph E. Dickey; daughter: Judy L. Weimer; great grandson: Aaron Edward Short; brother: Norman "Mick" Neimiller; sisters: Carrie Gill, Elsie McCann, Julia Roberts, and Ellen Vought.
She is survived by her grandchildren: Lisa Michael and husband Keith; Brian Short and wife Dawn; Todd Short; and Jodie Alfonso; great grandchildren: Kristi Fisher and husband Aaron, Christopher Short, Katelin Michael, Tanner Short, Grant Marker, Carrie Beth Short; great great grandchildren: Kaelyn Short, Keegan Fisher, Addison Fisher, Kinlee Short.
She was a telephone operator for GTE and a member of Amity United Church of Christ, Meyersdale, Meyersdale VFW Auxiliary. She volunteered for many years at the Maple Festival. Anna enjoyed traveling, going on trips with her friends, and visiting with her family. She was the last surviving member of her family.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date at the Amity United Church of Christ, Meyersdale. Inurnment Meyersdale Area Union Cemetery.
