Alice Ann (Klink) Yoder, 79, of Meyersdale, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 19, at Somerset In Touch Hospice House.
Alice, who was born on September 10, 1938, was the daughter of Clyde and Elsie Klink of Meyersdale. She married Perry Yoder on June 14, 1959, and they had recently celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary. Alice is survived by her husband; two children, Elizabeth, of Meyersdale and Washington, D.C., and Kevin and his wife, Penney, of Meyersdale; a cousin, Mona (Roberts) Lehman, of Gray, Pennsylvania, who was raised by the family; and many nieces and nephews.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Carl (Fuzz) Klink and his wife, Lottie; her brother Fay and his wife, Barbara; and her sister, Evelyn, and her husband, D. Hubert (Herb) Wright.
Alice was a 1956 graduate of Meyersdale Area High School and really enjoyed assisting with planning her high school class reunions. She worked as a secretary for the H. G. Bender Co. immediately after graduation, then served as co-owner and accountant for Perry L. Yoder Contracting, Inc., the family construction business.
Alice was also a faithful member of the Summit Mills Grace Brethren Church, where she served as deaconess, sang in the church choir, planned Christmas programs, and taught children’s church for many years.
Friends will be received at the Summit Mills Grace Brethren Church on Tuesday, August 21, from 6-8 p.m., and Wednesday, August 22, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. The funeral will be held at the Summit Mills Grace Brethren Church on Thursday, August 23, at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Andy Gannon officiating. Interment will be in St. Paul Wilhelm Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alice Ann Yoder Memorial Fund at the Summit Mills Grace Brethren Church.
