Robert W. Courtney

Robert W. Courtney, 74, of Friedens, formerly of Meyersdale, died March 22, 2024 at Windber Hospice.
Born April 14, 1949 in Meyersdale, the son of Robert and Helen (Maust) Ohler Courtney. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Kenneth E. Ohler and Bernard D. Ohler.

He is survived by his wife, Rita (Baker) Courtney; sons: Robert Thomas Courtney and Michael Brian Courtney and wife Delaney; grandson: Hunter Hackwelder; sister: Rita J. Witt and husband Jon; and brother: Thomas J. Courtney and wife Michele.

Bob was a computer programmer for Rockwood Insurance Co. and a local registrar for 30 years. He was a member of the BPOE 1951, Meyersdale and the Meyersdale Moose#76. He enjoyed driving his Subaru STi and talking politics.

Family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Price Funeral Service, Meyersdale, where funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Pastor Barry Ferguson officiating. Interment Meyersdale Area Union Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to Happy Valley Baptist Church, 1938 North Center Ave., Somerset, PA 15501.
