David Knieriem Obituary

David Ray Knieriem, 67, of Meyersdale, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 16, 2024.

Born May 23, 1956 in Bellefonte, the son of the late William J. Knieriem, and Evelyn Marie (Shuck) Knieriem, of Meyersdale.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 46 years, Bonnie (Dunmeyer) Knieriem; children: Ginger Knieriem fiancé Jason Custer, Brandy (Michael) Paulman, Jeremy (Heather) Knieriem, and Joshua (Jennifer) Knieriem; grandchildren: Katrina, Gracie, Gavin, Aiden, Harper and Trenton; great grandson: Dusty Ray; brother: Wayne (Ginny) Knieriem; sisters: Sandra (Roger) King, and Linda (Chuck) Heining. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A 1975 graduate of Meyersdale Area High School, and he was a hard-working dairy farmer and caretaker of the land for 50 years. David was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a devout man of God and taught Sunday School for almost 50 years. He preached many sermons and loved to study the scriptures. David will be remembered as a dedicated family man willing to help at any time and he will be greatly missed by all. His final gift in life was being an organ and tissue donor.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
