Sarah Mabel Wilt Sturtz, age 91, of Williamsport, MD passed away Thursday, April, 28, 2016 at Williamsport Nursing Home. Born, March 16, 1925, in Elk Lick, PA, Somerset County, a daughter of Dewey and Bessie (Lasure) Wilt.

She graduated in January, 1970 as a registered nurse from Loma Linda University, Loma Linda, CA. Sarah worked in numerous hospitals and retired with 20 years and 7 months of service from U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) at Ft. Detrick, Frederick, MD on April 3, 1993.

She was a wonderful caregiver and enjoyed gardening and cooking for her family and friends. Sarah was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Preceded in death by parents, Dewey and Bessie Wilt; husband William; sisters Grace Wilt, Laverne Barefoot, Gladys Sobus, and brothers Clarence and Carl.

Survived by her children, Judy Winkle and husband Jerold, Hedgesville, WV; and Alma Lee, Dayton, MD; grandson, William Winkle and wife Breezy of College Place, WA; granddaughters, Julie Winkle Pellow and husband James of Dixie, WA; Tanya Lee Huether and husband Jerry of Loveland, CO; Kari Lee Wilde and husband Scott of Desoto, KS; and six great-grandchildren, Matthew and Micah Pellow, Melanie and Brooke Wilde, Marie Winkle and Campbell Bowes; sisters Mildred Leister, Vera Landis, Gale Bittner, and Nancy Zinn; brothers Lewis, Paul, Dewey Jr., and Galen.

Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, with Pastor Franke Zollman of the Williamsport, MD from the Seventh-day Adventist Church will be officiating. Interment Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Glencoe, PA. Memorial contributions may be given to 3ABN, P. O. Box 220, West Frankfort, IL 62896.  Arrangements by Price Funeral Service, Inc., Meyersdale.
