Kenneth W. McCleary, 94, of Meyersdale, died August 8, 2015 at home. Born January 29, 1921, in Meyersdale, the son of William and Kathryn (Spangler) McCleary. Preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Harold, Gene, William, and Robert; and sister: Helen.

 He is survived by his wife of 49 years, the former Patricia Springstead; daughters: Kathryn and Sheryl; grandchildren: James, Nathaniel, and Kristina; and 4 great grandchildren.

Ken was a WWII Army veteran and he retired from Burroughs as punch press operator.

He was a member of the Meyersdale VFW and American Legion.

Ken enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, building things, and there wasn’t anything he couldn’t do.

A graveside memorial service will be conducted on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Meyersdale Area Union Cemetery, with Pastor Gary Morris officiating.
