Josephine L. “Jo” Brant, 95, widow of F.R. “Red” Brant, of Meyersdale, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, April 30, 2015.

She was born March 19, 1920 in Somerset.

Preceded in death by her parents; husband of 52 years, F.R. “Red” Brant; and son: C. David Brant, on May 25, 2001.

She is survived by her grandchildren: Karen Schafer (Greg Thompson), Meyersdale; Michael (Angie) Brant, Meyersdale; and Joseph (Amber) Brant, Timonium, Maryland; 5 great grandchildren: Jessica Schafer (Jeremy Ohler), Chelsey Taylor (Justin), Heather Schafer (Daniel Horning), Hannah Brant, and Cooper Brant; 4 great great granddaughters: Makiah Ohler, Addison Ohler, Brooklynn Taylor, and Brailynn Taylor; and her former daughter-in-law: Kathryn (Fife) Brant. She was a member of the Berlin Missionary Alliance Church.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 3, at Berlin Missionary Alliance Church, with Pastor Donald Krestar and Pastor Eric Shaulis officiating. Private interment at Somerset Co. Memorial Park, at a later date.
