James R. Lytle Sr., 81, of Fairhope, died May 4, 2017 at Meyersdale Healthcare and Rehab Center. Born March 3, 1936 in Markleton, the son of Paul and Clara M. (Beal) Lytle.

Preceded in death by his parents; sons: Scott and James R. Lytle Jr.; and grandson: Scott A. Lytle.

Survived by his wife of 24 years, Karen (Bittner) Lytle; daughter: Cindy and husband Jim Wyant; grandson: Chad and wife Michelle; and numerous other grandchildren and great grandchildren. Also survived by his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Verl and Judy Bittner; close friends: Jill Kroon and Jerry King; sister-in-law; brother-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jim enjoyed the outdoors, including mowing the lawn and gardening, riding motorcycles, cooking, and spending time with his family and dogs.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 Sunday at Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday. Interment Meyersdale Area Union Cemetery.
