Howard "Gov" L. Bowman

Howard L. “Gov” Bowman, 87, of Salisbury, passed away at 1:45 p.m. on March 29, 2017 with his wife by his side at Goodwill Retirement Community, Grantsville, Maryland. Born July 18, 1929, the son of Howard L. and Seliana (Watson) Bowman.

Preceded in death by his parents; son: Charles “Chuck” Bowman; sister: Maxine Jane Grose; and grandparents: Mr. and Mrs. C.K. Bowman, who raised him.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Horning) Bowman; nephew: James Grose, Westville, Indiana; daughter: Angie Hoffman, San Pedro, Calif.; and very good friend, Patsy Titues, Eldersburg, Maryland.

He was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday at Price Funeral Service, Meyersdale, where funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday. Interment Salisbury Cemetery.
