Frank J. Mosgraves, 93, Somerset, formerly of Meyersdale, died January 22, 2017 at The Heritage Personal Care, Somerset. Born February 12, 1923 in Meyersdale, the son of John and Mae (Dickey) Mosgraves. Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty June (Mankamyer) Mosgraves; daughter: Kathy Brown; sisters: Pauline Gnagey, Margaret Anderson, and Dorothy Anderson.

He is survived by his daughter: Amy Alexander, Ashville, N.C.; sister-in-law: Marcella Mankamyer, Albany, Oregon; son-in-law: Michael Brown, Hypoluxo, Florida; nephew: Donald Anderson, Meyersdale; and numerous other nieces and nephews.

For many years, Frank operated a dairy farm near Meyersdale. He also worked for Appalachian Fuels in Shanksville as a weighmaster. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Meyersdale. Frank had been the oldest member of the Meyersdale Lions Club, where he served as the President from 1962-1963. He was awarded the Melvin Jones Fellow in 1994 by the Lions International for great humanitarian efforts. Frank was involved with the construction of Maple Valley Park and also the start of the Lions Club Pancake Shack at the Meyersdale Maple Festival.

Family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. Wednesday at Price Funeral Service, Meyersdale, where funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. with Pastor Andy Gannon officiating. Interment Meyersdale Area Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given Frank's name to Zion Lutheran Church, Meyersdale.
