Eleanor D. (Murray) Weller Bittner, 89, formerly of Meyersdale, died November 2, 2015 at Somerset Hospital. Born May 15, 1926 in Meyersdale, the daughter of Charles W. and Mary Elizabeth (Mankamyer) Murray.

Preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Clark Weller; second husband Robert F. Bittner; brothers: Bill, Ray, Thomas, Lester, Blaine, Fred, and Bob.

Survived by her children: Terry Weller, Somerset; and Lori Bristol and husband Bill, Paoli; grandchildren: Steven Weller, Manassas, VA; Craig Weller, Woodbridge, VA; and Jillian Weller, Somerset; great grandchildren: Arabella and Hayden. Also survived by sisters: Floy, Temple; Evelyn, Mt. Penn; and June, Mechanicsburg.

Member of the Meyersdale Church of the Brethren, where she was a deaconess; sang in the choir, Ladies Quartet, and Greasy Spoons; and was a member of the Women’s Fellowship and Music and Worship Commission. She enjoyed shopping, knitting, cooking, singing, playing the piano, and was an avid reader.

Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Price Funeral Service, Meyersdale, where service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, with Pastor Pete Kaltenbaugh and Pastor Dottie Grew officiating. Interment St. John (Temple) Cemetery.
