Dalton B. “Sonny” Hoover, 77, of Meyersdale, went to celebrate with the Lord on December 25, 2017.

Born April 4, 1940, the son of the late Calvin and Helen (Sanner) Hoover. He is survived by his loving and adoring wife of 42 years, Sherri; daughter: Jody Weighley and husband Tim, Berlin; and sons: Randy Pritts and wife Barb, Garrett; and Dalton Hoover Jr., Rockwood. Loving grandfather of 7 grandchildren: Amanda Stiffler and husband Craig, Tim Weighley and wife Gloria, Ryan Whitacre and wife Jessica, Alyson Sipple and husband Trevor, Jonathan Hoover and wife Kelsey, Brittany Hoover, and Kily Hoover. He adored his 5 great grandchildren, Madisyn Weighley, Knox and Tatum Stiffler, Gabriel Hoover, and Ayden.
A brother of: Beatrice Hay and husband William, Darwin “Tom” Hoover (late wife Nola), Harry Hoover and wife Mary Ellen, Sally Pritts (late husband Ron), and Calvin Hoover Jr. and wife Cindy.

Sonny retired from the Pennsylvania Turnpike. He was an avid hunter, loved to watch football, visit with friends and neighbors on his porch, play cards with special friends Jack and Robyn Gauntz.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Price Funeral Service, Meyersdale, where funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, with Rev. Randy Haulk officiating. Interment Meyersdale Area Union Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in his name to In Touch Hospice House, P.O. Box 1173, Somerset, PA 15501.
